Valrideau University Residence is an independent student residence situated in Sandy Hill. It is a 12-minute walk to the University of Ottawa. 





Valrideau offers undergraduate and graduate women a serious study atmosphere to allow them to achieve academic excellence; Valrideau’s family atmosphere is conducive to making deep friendships. 





Valrideau offers each resident:

  • Private (single-occupancy), fully furnished room (bed, desk, dresser, closet, bookshelf, with bathroom sink & vanity)

  • 3 home-cooked meals and snacks 7 days a week (bagged meals are available)

  • 24-hour access to dinette

  • Weekly personal laundry and ironing services

  • Supply of fresh linen and towels, laundered weekly

  • Cleaning service 3 times a week (bedrooms and all general facilities)

  • Cable internet in the computer lab

  • Use of computers and laser printer

  • Access to common facilities for you and your friends (e.g. group study rooms)

  • All utilities included (electricity, water, gas, heating, and shared phone line)

  • Building security system

  • Access to a chapel
